Before I started Vegner Group I was studying a hairdressing apprenticeship for two years and was able to pass an NVQ Level 2 Hairdressing qualification. I enjoyed hairdressing but felt like I needed something different and challenging, something completely new to learn.

My new apprenticeship at Vegner Group studying a QCF Level 3 Business and Administration is going great, I’ve been here for eight months and felt like I’ve learnt so much in such little time.

My colleagues were very welcoming, especially with this being my first office job. It was quite scary, but as time has gone on I feel very lucky that Vegner Group was my first accounts job. This job has helped me in so many ways, from strengthening my maths to helping my knowledge of excel and general business practices.

I came to Vegner Group straight from Bromley College. Whilst there I studied sport science where I received a qualification and became a first aid trainer. When I left, I decided I wanted to try something different and got in touch with Hawks Training about an apprenticeship. They then approached me about a credit control assistant job role at Vegner Group.

Since being at Vegner Group I have adjusted to a working environment and become a more confident person, I really enjoy my job and the team I work in. I am looking forward to completing my apprenticeship in April and seeing what Vegner Group can bring me in the future.

I finished secondary school in Feltham then I went to city of Westminster college to do health and social care as I wanted to do criminal psychology in university. After a couple months of being at college I realised it wasn’t for me so I left and just got a full time job in a retail shop, I loved it but I always wanted to see the financial side of the business.

I then found Hawk training where I signed up to do this apprenticeship. I’ve done all my interviews and assessments with Hawk and HML. I was accepted and I’ve been loving it ever since.

My team is so supportive with everything and my manager Stephen is just brilliant! Plus I have found out they’re keeping me on as a full time employee after I finish my apprenticeship.
