Shirley is an area of South East London, within the London Borough of Croydon. It borders the London Borough of Bromley. It is located east of Croydon, and 10 miles (16.1 km) south south-east of Charing Cross.


Croydon is surrounded by beautiful green parks and commons. There’s Lloyds park and Addington Park near by, and the North downs just a few kilometres away. Numerous golf courses surround the area as are famous landmarks such as Croydon Minster and Shirley Windmill. Croydon town centre is a haven for shoppers and Fairfield Halls theatre regularly hosts famous productions.


We are very lucky as a school that we benefit from excellent transport links by road and rail; this means our staff team are able to travel to us from a vast number of locations not only from across South and Central London but the surrounding areas, making us a great option for commuters.


Sussex, Kent and Surrey are linked to Croydon by the Brighton Mainline rail links.


The M25, M23 and A23 roads link Croydon with many key areas, including; Central London, Gatwick, Crawley and East Sussex.


There is also a large public transport infrastructure running throughout Croydon with regular routes on train, tram and busses. Our closest railway stations are Eden Park, Elmers End and Norwood Junction. Our closet tram stops are Arena and Woodside.
