REPORTING TO: Senior Test Analyst

HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT: 9.00am - 5.30pm

HOLIDAY: 25 days holidays per annum prorated

Background

This role involves working for HML Holdings plc - the parent company of HML Group. HML Group is one of the leading residential property management companies in the south of England. HML has grown rapidly in recent years and is listed on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange. The group currently has 19 offices.

HML Holdings has an IT department of 15 people, including 9 dedicated to application development and systems integration.

The role is for a Junior Software Tester to liaise with our business analysts and Senior Test Analyst to carry out functional, system and performance testing of our in-house software prior to release. In addition, the Junior Software Tester is responsible for development and maintenance of a regression test suite to ensure consistency and stability of our software.

The role is based in the Croydon office with occasional travel to other offices.

Duties and responsibilities



* Preparing test plans/cases from requirements specifications and acceptance criteria
* Devising and executing test plans for manual tests
* Analyse the defects and report
* Providing feedback to developers to support continuous improvement
* Working with our Senior Test Analyst to plan testing for current and future projects
* Participation in stand-ups
* Regular progress reporting to line manager

Education/Qualifications



* English language to GCSE level or equivalent is essential as a large component of the role involves documentation
* Mathematics to GCSE level or equivalent is also essential as around 60% of our primary business application revolves around finance
* ISTQB Foundation Level
