Porter (Permanent) - 25 hrs per week - Putney

Are you a proven Porter, looking for your next permanent challenge to expand your experience working in a Residential Estate?


* Inspect the estate and remove any litter in the driveway, porches and gardens. Check that all vehicles are entitled to park and place warning notice on any offending vehicles.
* Check for any minor maintenance work that needs doing (such as paint or wall scrapes) and repair as necessary
* Maintain the diary of activity, every day
* Collect refuse and recycling bags from every flat as soon as possible after arrival on site
* Verify that the cleaner performs the necessary tasks. In her/his absence, vacuum and clean the interiors of the buildings
* Man office and check Lower Park email account. Forward any messages which you deem to be important to the HML Property Manager
* Carry out gardening tasks appropriate to the season in consultation with the Property Manager and Mrs Jean Butler.
* Sweep/clean Old House porch and New House entrances, and clear leaves and litter whenever necessary
* Assist and, where applicable, supervise contractors and visitors to Lower Park. Ensure the contractors sign in and out of the visitors day book
* Provide reasonable assistance, when requested, to contractors working on residents' properties. Allow entry to residents' flats only with resident's permission.
* If requested, assist residents when they are moving in or out of the building, ensuring that no damage is caused to public areas, walls etc and that the building security is not prejudiced (for example, by leaving entry doors open)
* Note and report instances of residents acting in an anti-social manner, against the terms of the lease: for example, by constantly leaving refuse for collection outside the specified times, depositing bulk refuse, playing loud music, installing satellite dishes, etc.
* Check for broken locks/windows and security issues, and inform Property Manager and/or Police as necessary
* Take deliveries for residents, keep them securely in the office, inform the residents and make arrangements for collection
