Marketing and Communications Assistant

REPORTING TO: Marketing Manager

OBJECTIVES: To offer the highest standard of service to the MM and the Business Development Team

Hours of employment are 9.00AM - 5.30PM: 25 days holidays per annum

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ADMINISTRATION



*

Assist with communication between the public and HML through online portals (website, social media, surveys, etc.)


*

Edit and proof-read documents for the Marketing Manager and the entire Business Development team to a high standard


*

Assist with team administration, such as printing/binding, where necessary


*

Assist with the organisation and administration of mailouts


*

Assist with the answering of telephones, taking detailed messages and dealing with them appropriately


*

Liaise with other departments or companies as needed


*

Any other duties as directed


ONLINE SUPPORT



*

Monitor online media and online reviews and respond to enquiries in a timely manner


*

Monitor social media and act to circumvent negative comments, especially in the absence of the Marketing Manager


*

Assist with the management of automated online services and social media post scheduling


*

Assist with the updating of the company intranet and website


*

Assist with writing/designing content for online channels


*

Help populate online content calendar and collate submissions from office


MARKETING SUPPORT

Assist with direct mailings and digital mailings

Assist with event organisation

Get quotes and samples, liaising with suppliers, to support marketing activities

Coordinate specific HML programmes, such as the Monthly Testimonials

Coordinate copy for the HML Newsletter

Coordinate the production and ordering of business cards and branch signage

Collate and prepare data for postal campaigns

SALES SUPPORT

Assist the sales team with the production of tenders/proposals for new sites


*

Assist the team with the general administration of the tendering process


*

Assist with budgets and templates where necessary


*

Take sales calls when needed, gathering all the relevant information, providing timeframes for call backs, following up as necessary, etc.


*

Help produce new documentation covering a wide range of subjects


*

Researching local areas/presence for pitches, planning, etc.
