To support our incredible plans for the future of mobility, we are looking for talented individuals to join the Ford family; ready to support our development of exciting new products, gain valuable qualifications leading to the completion of a Bachelor of Engineering Degree (BEng), and become part of the next generation of Ford engineers.

About the role

  • The Higher Engineering apprenticeship here at Ford will take you 4 years to complete, with an 8 month rotation plan - allowing you to gain experience across a variety of areas within Ford and learn all about what each department has to offer.
  • You will receive on-the-job training which will allow you to learn new skills and apply your experience to the working world. This will take place either at our Dunton Campus or Dagenham Engine Plant.
  • You will gain an NVQ Level 2 diploma in Performing Engineering Operations (PEO), an NVQ  Level 4 Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing, Foundation Degree in Embedded Electrical Systems Design and Development, and a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng)
  • Weekly day release to attend university and expand your knowledge.

To become part of our team, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSE grades*
    *Must include a grade B (Level 5/6) in English, Maths, and Physics or Double Science.

  • 3 A Levels at BBC or higher (or equivalent) predicted or achieved*
    *Must include a B in maths and one other STEM subject (Science, Technology or Engineering).
    *Must equal 112 UCAS points.
